LEGACY SUPPORTS BODY-BUILDING CLASSIC

In May 2006, Legacy once again showed its support for the sport of Body-Building through sponsorship of the Bio-Fitness Body-Building Classic which was held at the Centre of Excellence. This year’s classic featured the famous eight-time Mr. Olympia Champion Ronnie Coleman as guest poser. As a former Mr. Trinidad and Tobago body-building Champion, Legacy Bandleader Big Mike has always actively supported the sport in Trinidad and Tobago.

LEGACY CHRISTMAS PARTY

Legacy held its annual Christmas Staff Party on December 18th 2006 at the scenic Tsunami Beach Club in Chaguaramas. It was attended by Legacy’s staff, Phoenix Youth Committee and models. Beautifully strung Christmas lights and decorations set a festive ambiance which, together with a sumptuous meal, well-stocked bar, great music and dancing made for a memorable evening which lasted past 2:00 o’clock the following morning.

LEGACY CHRISTMAS CHARITY

The Legacy Phoenix Youth Committee headed by Bandleaders “Big Mike” Antoine and Juliet de la Bastide shared in the Christmas spirit of giving with the children of two homes in Trinidad. In December we visited the Christ Child Convalescent Home in Diego Martin for the third consecutive year. Each child was presented with a Christmas present and we spent time talking with them and playing with their gifts. A microwave oven was also presented to the care-givers who had previously indicated a need for this item. The Committee also visited the Amica Home in St. Augustine for the second time, bearing gifts as well as refreshments for the kids. Once again, we spent time with the children who remembered us well from the previous year and who even put on a “mini-concert” for us. We were also able to donate an outdoor TV antenna to the home.

These were truly two memorable evenings, both for the children and for the Phoenix Youth Committee and we are truly appreciative to the many organizations and individuals who contributed and without whom this would not have been possible.
