“PASSAGES”
- for
Carnival 2008 !!! PASSAGES – A Journey through the Motherland Africa is a continent full of contrasts. There are deserts, mountains, tropical forests, giant lakes, dramatic waterfalls, enormous grasslands, tropical beaches and coral reefs. The people include the Arabic-speaking people of Northern Africa, the wandering pastoralists of the grasslands, the pygmies of the tropical forests, the fishing communities of the great lakes, the farmers of the fertile valleys and the millions who crowd Africa’s great cities. Add to this picture, the range of wildlife which includes elephants, crocodiles, gorillas and hundreds of different birds and you will realize how diverse is this great land. PASSAGES will take you on a journey from Morocco in the North through the Central African nations of Kenya and Uganda down to the tip of South Africa, presenting our interpretation of the tribes, cultures, geography, wildlife and spirit of the fascinating African Continent.
